13.05.10 ‘New Perspectives’ BPF Residential Conference 2010

Falling in the middle of what is rapidly becoming a momentous year of political change, New Perspectives, the BPF's annual conference on 8 June 2010, will be the first property industry event to examine the potential impact of the new coalition Government.

The conference will open with a stimulating and entertaining networking lunch where the journalist and broadcaster Andrew Neil will give his view on the campaigns and results of the General Election.

For the opening session, the BPF has invited Ben Page (Ipsos MORI) and George Pascoe-Watson (Portland PR and ex-Sun political editor) to look at the changing political landscape and its ramifications for the property industry.

In the second session, a panel of leading commercial landlords and tenants will debate and discuss shifting landlord tenant relationships under our current economic circumstances. Ian Coull (SEGRO) will chair a panel, which includes Chris Kane (BBC Workplace), Matthias Leube (Deutsche Post), Dan Labbad (Lend Lease) and Rick de Blaby (MEPC).

Our closing session will look at the role of institutions in the aftermath of the financial crisis, bringing together lenders and borrowers to forecast when pre-recession investment levels will return under a new political regime. Our session panellists include Max Sinclair (Eurohypo), Peter Clarke (British Land), Natalie Howard (AgFe) and Jonathan Goldstein (Heron).

New Perspectives will be held at the QEIICC in Westminster on the afternoon of 8 June 2010 (12pm to 6.30pm). To find out more, visit www.bpf.org.uk, or contact Alex Williamson (email awilliamson@bpf.org.uk) at the BPF.
